Statistical Note
1. This statistical survey is part of the national statistical research and is conducted in accordance with the requirements set forth in the “Notice of the National Energy Administration on Issuing the Statistical Reporting System for Renewable Energy Power Generation Utilization (Guo Neng Gui Hua [2018] No. 61)” and the “Letter from the State Oceanic Administration on Issuing the Marine Statistical Reporting System (Guo Hai Han [2017] No. 96).”
2. In this statistic, “wind power installed capacity” refers to the “lifting capacity,” which is the installed capacity achieved when, during the statistical period, the wind turbine manufacturer has delivered the wind turbines to the wind farm site, the construction unit has completed the lifting and installation of all wind turbine components, and the installation acceptance or static commissioning has been successfully completed.
3. The data statistical period is from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020, meaning that this data includes both the capacity of projects completed between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020, as well as the capacity of projects from the previous year that were not included in the current year’s lifting statistics.
4. This statistical data is verified based on the wind power project database maintained by the issuing entity as well as the project lists submitted by enterprises. The verification process is as follows:
(1) Based on the annual national wind power development and construction plans issued by the National Energy Administration and the annual development and construction plans issued by the energy administrations of each province, we will conduct a step-by-step verification of the lists submitted by enterprises using the wind power project database and the wind power project approval database, and remove any data that does not match the actual installation status during the statistical period.
(2) By leveraging publicly available information, construction progress reports from wind power development companies, and on-site verification conducted by appointed inspectors, we will identify and eliminate data that do not align with the actual installation activities during the statistical period, thereby verifying the accuracy of the data and ensuring that the statistical data is reliable, lawful, and compliant. At the same time, based on data obtained from other sources and taking into account the actual dynamics of projects in this industry, we will further validate and finalize the data.
5. This statistical brief has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of relevant national authorities regarding data sources, statistical definitions, and methodologies.
